My friend (also black) and I talk a lot about these types of situations. My take on it is that because of their increased access to resources, white people tend to be more likely to have more work experience. Not only that, their parents, grandparents, etc. also probably have decades of work experience. Having that type of support/family structure makes a huge difference on the development of an adult's professional life, and I do feel as if some black and brown people are left far behind when it comes to workplace experience/etiquette. A white person with a lack of resources could certainly find themselves in the same spot. Though in that case, the problem wouldn't be systemic.
