In so many ways, the story of black people in America represents American ideals and values better than anything else. Every form of power you mentioned is essential to the lifeblood of this country. Yet still, black people and other folks are intent on viewing different aspects of economic standing as the sole determinants of a group's perceived 'worth' to society.

We've got to cast aside the myths that this country has poisoned us with. Black people and white people are not 'opposites', both groups are wholly American. We've just had radically different histories that are clearly reflected in the present day.
